Trinity Ellis is a London-based artist working between photography and painting. Drawing on found and archival material, Ellis submerges the photographic image within dense, worked surfaces, producing objects that ask for patience and proximity. His work examines masculinity as something constructed and enforced: the narrow conditions under which men are permitted to touch, and the violence that holds those conditions in place.
Ellis completed his MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art in 2026 as a Frank Bowling Scholar, where he was awarded the New Photography Prize. He has since been selected for the Travers Smith CSR Art Programme, and his work is held in private collections. Over the past decade, Ellis has worked in fashion photography, where his considered approach has led to commissions from Saint Laurent, Luncheon and AnOther.
